A praying mantis is such a special kind of insect. Really fascinating.
We enjoyed some time with her. This one was a female and she allowed us to have an extensive look.
She was calm all the time, even when we took some photos. Umgani found her quite interesting as well. He – of course – had to take a sniff and touched her with his nose.
That was the moment when her posture changed into a defensive one like it is shown in the photo. She made kind of a hissing sound to that. Impressive!
We left her alone after this so she could move on.
